Herbergh De Parel (translated The Pearl) is located in the heart of the Fryske Wâlden (Frisian Woods), within the triangle Drachten, Surhuisterveen and Burgum, and on walking distance of the lake ‘Burgumer Mar’. You will be warmly welcomed by host Martin and hostess Jetty van der Veen and their staff. In ‘Herbergh de Parel’ you will find a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Our staff will do their utmost to make your stay as comfortable as possible, whether it is for a generous dinner, a quick bite or drink on the nice terrace or when staying some nights in the comfortable guest rooms.

Herbergh De Parel has a lot to offer. Our starting point and main focus is being a restaurant to enjoy a varied and honest meal, made of fresh products. We intend to serve an extended and alternating menu of meat, see food and vegetarian dishes, with a wink to the Mediterranean kitchen, the passion of Chef de Cuisine Martin van der Veen. Our restaurant is non-smoking, but for smokers amongst you there is a separate and heated smoking room.

Terrace
Eastermar (Oostermeer) is an excellent starting point for a hiking or a biking tour. What‘s more desirable than to lay back and relax in an attractive establishment after a straining and exiting day? Our terrace is located to the South viewing the sociable village square. Guests using an electric power driven bicycle can charge the batteries of bike and person whilst enjoying a drink. Menu’s are available for small or big appetite.
